Staff Council Holiday Service Project 2009
|
Description: |
Greetings Students, Staff & Faculty
The Staff Council at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs will begin the Holiday Service Project for 2009 on November 11th. This project is an opportunity for our campus to provide added enjoyment to the UCCS student, faculty and staff community during the holidays. There are several ways you may help.
Adopt-a-Family – Departments, individuals or clubs can “adopt” a family. A shopping list will be provided to assist you with your purchases.
Holidrop Boxes –With donated food items that you drop off in the boxes located around campus, we will provide ingredients to be used by each participating family to prepare a wonderful holiday dinner. Household products, nonperishable, non-expired food donations will be greatly appreciated.
Giving Trees –Individuals are welcome to take a gift tag from one of the decorated trees that are located in the University Center Lobby, Bookstore, University Hall, Main Hall, Dwire Hall and Columbine Hall and purchase a gift that the parent, child or entire family can enjoy.
$$Cash/Check Donations – Any size donation is appreciated. Secure cash donation boxes will be located in the following areas: ENT Credit Union in University Center, Bookstore, University Center Information Desk, Beth-El in University Hall, Parking Front Desk, Financial Aid, IT Help Desk in El Pomar Center, Jazzman’s, LAS Dean’s Office in Columbine, Library, and Dwire at the Coffee Cart. All monetary donations will be used to purchase gift cards, additional food and gifts. Checks can be made payable to UCCS Holiday Service Project.
To adopt a family, donate cash, volunteer or nominate a recipient please contact either Sheryl Botts (4074) or Sherry McDonnell (4320).
Thank you for your participation!
